Elections Calendar: 2026 Election Calendar

To become an official candidate on the ballot, you must be a registered voter in your district, meet the qualifications of the office, and formally declare your candidacy with our office. For more information, visit the Secretary of State's how to run for office page.
Our office has notary services available for filings.

Individuals who run as write-in candidates must file a Declaration of Intent no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 4, 2026 (write-in candidacy for the November General applies to non-partisan races only).

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 34-2426, Idaho Code, notice is hereby given:
Notice of Election Test Deck
To be held
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23rd, 2026 AT 2:00 PM

The general public may come to the courthouse on Friday October 23rd, 2026 at 2:00 pm to watch the Valley County Clerk’s Office Election staff run the election test deck. If you would like to watch, you must let Kierstin Oxford know by Thursday October 22nd at noon.
